<br />
I've got a few beauty bits and pieces to pass on so decided to pop them in a wee blog sale. I'm moving flat in a few weeks so I've added a few bits and reduced prices or pulled together some bundles at lower prices. I'll consider offers on a bulk purchase.<br />

<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">This was a NOTD I found languishing in my many draft posts. I decided against posting it as I was left feeling a little underwhelmed with my first roll of the dice with Barry M's Gelly polish. In hindsight I think my expectations were just a bit inflated and I did love this manicure combination. </span></div>

<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><a href="http://www.boots.com/en/Barry-M-Hi-Shine-Gel-Effect-Nail-Polish_1281299/" target="_blank">Watermelon</a> was a bit tricky to apply and didn't look as glossy as I was expecting but I've since tried two or three other polishes from this range which do look very glossy so perhaps this is just a bit of a dud in that regard. The shade is something I've struggled to find elsewhere; it's darker and more green than a teal but it's not super green either. I think it would suit most people and it doesn't look too outlandish. The wear time on this polish wasn't great either; it chipped within a couple of days. At under £4 it wasn't a bad buy but if you already have a similar shade, I wouldn't be rushing out to pick this up. It does make a nice pedicure colour too - that's what I've got on just now.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><a href="http://www.boots.com/en/No7-Stay-Perfect-Nail-Colour_1273349/" target="_blank">Starshower</a> was a random purchase but I've grown quite fond of it both as a general manicure colour and as an accent nail against deeper jewel type tones. I like it especially next to Watermelon because I feel that it 'lifts' it a bit. Application and wear time with this polish are both much better. No7 polishes were never a product I rated previously but I picked this up for £3 with a voucher so it's definitely worth a look!</span></div>

<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">When Sam Chapman of <a href="http://acestacebeauty.blogspot.co.uk/2012/04/my-face-brushes.html" target="_blank">Pixiwoo</a> fame joined forces with Real Techniques to create a brush line, it instantly took the beauty world by storm. They're good quality, accessible, cruelty free and most importantly, affordable. During the past couple of years I've tried out the <a href="http://acestacebeauty.blogspot.co.uk/2012/04/my-face-brushes.html" target="_blank">majority of brushes</a> from the line and until very recently was of the opinion that the Buffing brush was my absolute favourite. Then I discovered the Expert Face brush and the battle for my brush-loving heart was well and truly on.</span></div>

<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<h3 style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">Real Techniques brush comparison</span></h3>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">The Buffing brush has a lot going for it. It has a nice lightweight handle and soft bristles which are fairly densely packed. The top of the brush is slightly domed. I use this for blending in concealer on large areas, foundation and cream blushes. When applying foundation it can be used in a stippling fashion to get a bit more coverage or in a buffing motion to blend the foundation seamlessly into the skin. The main downside to the Buffing brush is that it's only available in the <a href="http://www.boots.com/en/Real-Techniques-Core-Collection-1403_1252038/" target="_blank">Core Collection</a> of brushes which costs £21.99. I wasn't a huge fan of the other three brushes in the set. Had I found a use for the other three brushes, this would be a great value set but unfortunately that wasn't the case.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">The <a href="http://www.boots.com/en/Real-Techniques-Expert-Face-Brush_1277695/" target="_blank">Expert Face brush</a> has a more ergonomic shaped handle, which I like. Initially I thought it looked a little small but I haven't found that to be an issue. The brush head is smaller and the bristles are more densely packed. I use this brush slightly differently to the Buffing brush; I tend to almost 'paint' my foundation on and then buff it in rather than using a stippling motion.I find that I get more coverage from my foundations when using this brush. I use the Expert Face brush exclusively for foundation but I suppose it could be used for cream blush, contour and highlight products too. It's certainly a good size to deal with the more precise placement of contour and highlight. Aside from being a brilliant brush, the Expert Face brush is also available on its own, priced at £9.99.</span></div>
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEitV3XvgEOrryc64j7I0l6-XvSujEwzoR0hFPsfp4yX75rOJHtDz22vv_b8V0k9F3dTIgyhvuRVXT_lmE16xsVY7YawSL_pqmazP3c2_lk0nCnWyHHI-NsfzfwqtcXO5Yo8vu-QCw5SaDY/s1600/SAM_9470.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><img alt="Synthetic bristles in Real Techniques brushes" border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEitV3XvgEOrryc64j7I0l6-XvSujEwzoR0hFPsfp4yX75rOJHtDz22vv_b8V0k9F3dTIgyhvuRVXT_lmE16xsVY7YawSL_pqmazP3c2_lk0nCnWyHHI-NsfzfwqtcXO5Yo8vu-QCw5SaDY/s400/SAM_9470.JPG" title="Real Techniques brushes" width="400" /></span></a></div>

<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<h3 style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">The Winner?</span></h3>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">I think it's quite clear that for me the Expert Face brush wins in terms of performance and value. That doesn't mean I'll be dismissing my Buffing brush, however. I will continue to use this for foundation and I do prefer it for concealer under my eyes as it's softer on the delicate skin. I'll also continue using it for cream blushes. If it was possible to buy both brushes separately, I'd still want to own both.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<h3 style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">The Lipstick</span></h3>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><a href="http://www.maccosmetics.co.uk/product/shaded/168/310/Products/Lips/Lipstick/Lipstick/index.tmpl" target="_blank">MAC Creme in Your Coffee</a> is described as a 'creamy mid-tone pink brown' with a cremesheen finish. The shade is a tiny bit more brown than pink in my opinion which puts it firmly in the 'nude' category for me. It's darker than most of my other nudes and is a bit more cool-toned than my preferred peachy or tan nudes. It's a refreshing change, though and I think it will work well with a variety of eye and cheek colours. It reminds me a little bit of <a href="http://acestacebeauty.blogspot.co.uk/2012/01/mac-viva-glam-v-lipstick.html" target="_blank">MAC Viva Glam V</a> but without the shimmer.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">The pigmentation is great and the product applies fairly easily. It's one of those lipsticks you don't (really) need a mirror to apply. I usually like cremesheen finishes but my main gripe with them has always been that they can be a bit too creamy; lipstick ending up half way down your chin is not a good look. Creme in Your Coffee is different, it seems. The texture is a little less creamy so more difficult to over-do. It wears much longer too; I get about 3-4 hours of wear which is pretty good for me as I'm constantly talking...</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">The packaging is the standard MAC lipstick bullet and the scent is the delicious (but somewhat sickening, I suppose) vanilla cake batter scent that we all associate with a MAC lipstick. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgzACPmsrPMsEUxYjFuB7S_1s2CGtPLn6rUn6YDm8bZtYemT6Gu4JBJLh9OMshZkBDX9EsLd3GZlfa1fnn7PF5sMPaJr9CQgDMAJSv3n23A1Q7eQa_wjTGuhFL8vo3a4DuqSGJ-SaRKntE/s1600/SAM_9445.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><img alt="MAC Creme in Your Coffee lipstick swatch" border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgzACPmsrPMsEUxYjFuB7S_1s2CGtPLn6rUn6YDm8bZtYemT6Gu4JBJLh9OMshZkBDX9EsLd3GZlfa1fnn7PF5sMPaJr9CQgDMAJSv3n23A1Q7eQa_wjTGuhFL8vo3a4DuqSGJ-SaRKntE/s400/SAM_9445.JPG" title="MAC Creme in Your Coffee swatch" width="300" /></span></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<h3 style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">Who will like it?</span></h3>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">Creme in Your Coffee is such a neutral shade; it pulls more pink on cooler skintones and more nude-brown on warmer skintones. For that reason I'd say it would suit anyone in the light to medium spectrum. On medium skintones it will be one of those 'my lips but better' type shades whereas on lighter skinned ladies it will look like a nice darker nude. It's a safe bet for anyone who's concerned about nude lipsticks giving them the dead-concealer-lips effect.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">As this has a glossy finish, matte-lovers won't be a fan. On the plus side, if you have quite thin lips, this lipstick will make them look a little fuller. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">Anyone who's willing to spend £15 on a MAC lipstick. I just had to mention this; I remember when MAC lipsticks were around £11.50! Whilst I don't think the price is completely outrageous, it does make me a bit more cautious about which lipsticks I purchase from MAC. The drugstore has really upped its game in recent years so there is likely to be a cheaper alternative of this lipstick out there if you're willing to look around. </span></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">I stumbled upon this combination completely by accident a few weeks ago; I'd given myself a manicure with Rhythm & Blues and a different blue as an accent nail. I like how Did I Tell You? looked over the blue. I decided to try it over Rhythm & Blues and it was love! It was one of those manicures you find yourself looking at all the time. This time around I skipped the blue accent nail - it was a bit much.</span></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<h3 style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">The Colour</span></h3>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">Rhythm & Blues is a gorgeous inky navy shade. The formula on this one is absolutely brilliant; it's almost opaque in one coat and it manages to wear reasonably well too. I'm a big fan of the <a href="http://www.boots.com/en/Rimmel-Salon-Pro-Nail-Polish_1314153/" target="_blank">Rimmel Salon Pro polishes</a> in general; particularly the super on-trend shades in the <a href="http://www.boots.com/en/Rimmel-Salon-Pro-by-Kate-Nail-Polish_1314252/" target="_blank">Kate Moss collection</a>. I've tried six or seven now and the formula has been great across a variety of shades. The brush is very wide and flat which is the type of brush I prefer.</span></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif; margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhlId4enMf97_5GOoWZZwciyFlW28YkgcOy9_XyvkBQpWkEQFAGJPQaZuxe9ZwYBELJKFFWAYfRSnYAyBv7mN6CNzKvlzkK_Tz925KeJym0l4qITOXijBVHjCmLwqeLtZAeRgnhL7KqyBw/s1600/SAM_9420.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Blue giltter nail polish from H&M" border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhlId4enMf97_5GOoWZZwciyFlW28YkgcOy9_XyvkBQpWkEQFAGJPQaZuxe9ZwYBELJKFFWAYfRSnYAyBv7mN6CNzKvlzkK_Tz925KeJym0l4qITOXijBVHjCmLwqeLtZAeRgnhL7KqyBw/s400/SAM_9420.JPG" title="H&M Did I Tell You? nail polish" width="400" /></a></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<h3 style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">The Glitter</span></h3>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">Did I Tell You? is a blue glitter in a clear base. The glitter is made up of larger and smaller sized glitters. I've only ever needed to use one coat to get an even distribution on the nails. It looks a bit tacky in the bottle but over the right shade, it looks great. I can't remember exactly how much this cost; I think it was around £3. Overall I'm impressed by this offering from <a href="http://www.hm.com/gb/" target="_blank">H&M</a>. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">In the photos I'm wearing two coats of Rimmel Rhythm & Blues, one coat of Did I Tell You? and a coat of <a href="http://www.boots.com/en/SallyHansen-Insta-Dri-Anti-Chip-Top-Coat_1038032/" target="_blank">Sally Hansen</a> <a href="http://acestacebeauty.blogspot.co.uk/2011/09/review-sally-hansen-insta-dri-top-coat.html" target="_blank">Insta-Dri top coat</a>.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">What's on your nails right now? Any polishes worth raving about? </span></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">I'd read some fairly good reviews on the relatively new cream blushes so after a swatching session I settled on <a href="http://www.debenhams.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/prod_10701_10001_123152029699_-1" target="_blank">62 Presage</a>. It's a bright coral shade which leans more orange than pink. I've not used this properly yet but can say my first impressions are just so-so. The packaging is much smaller than I expected and very light; it definitely doesn't feel worth the £27 price tag. The <a href="http://www.debenhams.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/prod_10701_10001_123156906299_-1" target="_blank">Rouge Coco lipsticks</a>, however, have gorgeous packaging and the product itself is something I'm pretty fond of. I have one of these in <a href="http://acestacebeauty.blogspot.co.uk/2012/05/my-chanel-lipsticks.html" target="_blank">Bel Respiro</a> and love it. I went for 21 Rivoli this time which is a blood-red shade. The formula is super easy to apply, has a nice satin finish and wears for a decent amount of time. If you're not a fan of floral scent, avoid! I had lots of Beauty Club Card points so ended up paying just over £30 for both items and I got a £10 voucher back too. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">I took a wee trip home last weekend and on the way made a customary stop at the MAC counter. I really can't deal with the staff at my nearest MAC counter and I like the fact I get a bit of a discount in duty free too. I picked up a couple of <a href="http://www.debenhams.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/prod_10701_10001_123443826999_-1" target="_blank">lipsticks</a>; Diva (a matte) and Creme in Your Coffee (a creamsheen). Diva is a super dark berry which I'm hoping will satisfy my berry lip requirements for now whilst Creme in Your Coffee is a gorgeous darker nude shade. It looks much less brown when it's applied and the creamsheen finish is nice and glossy.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiLc2eM02JeHG-via0I6_QYnR9TySkMdxpkYWADxp4ZW0kCy-zskufY5xLm0Csfp0Ej69fvVXbXMo_bDLy1ny9rLIt02HMBhLFufQ3M4bohWb6FHXnhjFxQKObO1DoPppaxOBP8ZBt0rNc/s1600/SAM_9452.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiLc2eM02JeHG-via0I6_QYnR9TySkMdxpkYWADxp4ZW0kCy-zskufY5xLm0Csfp0Ej69fvVXbXMo_bDLy1ny9rLIt02HMBhLFufQ3M4bohWb6FHXnhjFxQKObO1DoPppaxOBP8ZBt0rNc/s400/SAM_9452.JPG" width="400" /></span></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">Now that I finally live in a flat with a bath again(!) I needed to pop into LUSH to pick up my beloved <a href="https://www.lush.co.uk/product/408/The-Comforter-Bubble-Bar" target="_blank">The Comforter bubble bar</a> (it had already been used by the time I got around to taking these pictures) It's a a chunk of deliciously berry scented bubbly goodness which I'm very glad to have back in my life. While I was there I picked up another <a href="https://www.lush.co.uk/product/43/BB-Seaweed-Fresh-Face-Mask" target="_blank">favourite</a>; the <a href="http://acestacebeauty.blogspot.co.uk/2012/09/lush-bb-seaweed-fresh-face-mask.html" target="_blank">BB Seaweed fresh face mask</a>. I've lost count of the number of times I've recommended this as it works on loads of skin types and is pretty cheap. The only downside is that you need to use it all up within a month of purchasing. I was at the till when I spotted <a href="https://www.lush.co.uk/product/6378/Santa%27s-Lip-Scrub" target="_blank">Santa's lip scrub</a> and despite the fact I know that these are messy, I had to have it. It smells and tastes like old school cola. Yum! </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiTywo_DiwvsSeU0_Rq1ko7-zpHaCNv4OHwqsZH9rfBtQ5aBr8ANgYbic_dMCXfk-nq-84Rw5MNkjQhbnOTcsh-b4jEuHCu2GohpXzKkz_GsCWRgDfD2gzJgW6tHyWwmYngfo5vn6dvyWo/s1600/SAM_9446.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiTywo_DiwvsSeU0_Rq1ko7-zpHaCNv4OHwqsZH9rfBtQ5aBr8ANgYbic_dMCXfk-nq-84Rw5MNkjQhbnOTcsh-b4jEuHCu2GohpXzKkz_GsCWRgDfD2gzJgW6tHyWwmYngfo5vn6dvyWo/s400/SAM_9446.JPG" width="400" /></span></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">I've been branching out a little with polishes; shimmers and glitters are no longer off the menu. <a href="http://www.debenhams.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/prod_10701_10001_123720185699_-1" target="_blank">Illamasqua Bacterium</a> made its way into my ASOS shopping basket a few weeks ago (it was only a fiver, how could I say no?!) and when it arrived it went straight on my nails. This slightly odd nude shimmer lasted a full week on me without chipping which is almost a miracle so I'm sure I'll be adding to my Illamasqua polish collection sometime soon. The <a href="http://www.boots.com/en/Barry-M-Hi-Shine-Gel-Effect-Nail-Polish_1281299/" target="_blank">Barry M Gelly polishes</a> went under my radar initially as to me 'jelly' means translucent and if there's one thing that really drives me crazy, it's a sheer polish. After having a look at the formula I've realised that it's not sheer at all - just super shiny. I've got Watermelon here which is a nice teal green. It's going on my nails in the next couple of days and I have high hopes.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">My final haul item is one of those products you pick up thinking 'yeah, this could be cute'. And it is cute; In the bottle. As I said, I've developed an interest in glitter polishes recently so this candy pink packed with pink, blue and silver glitter of varying sizes looked pretty great. I knew that I'd need a few coats but after trying three or four it just wasn't working as it was still too sheer. I took it off and reapplied over a couple of coats of Essie Fiji (almost-white crème finish pink) but I still needed three coats and the effect was too patchy for my liking. There's a photo on my Instagram if you want to have a look you can search for staceisace6. The glitter looked great though so I kind of wish Revlon would have packed more of the glitter into a clear base as then it would have been much more versatile. Anyway, it's <a href="http://www.boots.com/en/Revlon-Nail-Enamel_33582/" target="_blank">Revlon Girly</a> if any of you aren't put off by the above!</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">What have you been buying recently? Or are you being good and saving your cash for Christmas presents?</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>

<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">The Maybelline Color Tattoo in Pink Gold was one of those products I picked up as part of a 3 for 2 deal on a complete whim. The idea of a pink eyeshadow on paper is something which would usually fill me with dread but this pale pearlised golden pink is surprisingly flattering on my brown eyes. I suppose it fits in quite nicely with the rose gold trend which has emerged over the past couple of years however I think it's subtle enough to fall into the 'eternally chic' shade category.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">I apply this product over my <a href="http://acestacebeauty.blogspot.co.uk/2012/05/nars-smudgeproof-eyeshadow-base.html" target="_blank">NARS Smudgeproof Eyeshadow Base</a> either with my finger or a Real Techniques domed eyeshadow brush. I prefer using the brush as it deposits just the right amount of product more precisely. If I use my finger I tend to require a couple of layers to get the same amount of colour. Even without a base I find these don't crease until they reach the 7-8 hour mark - I have pretty oily lids so this is a decent wear time for me. </span></div>

<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">All in all, I really enjoy using the <a href="http://acestacebeauty.blogspot.co.uk/2012/02/maybelline-color-tattoo-eyeshadow-in.html" target="_blank">Maybelline Color Tattoo shadows I've tried</a> and Pink Gold has become my most used shade over the past six months. <span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><a href="http://www.aveda.co.uk/product/5311/16934/Hair-Care/Shampoo/Pure-Abundance-Volumizing-Shampoo/index.tmpl" target="_blank"><img alt="Volumising shampoo from Aveda reviewed on Ace Stace Beauty" border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhI8k0AIxkyDCPf-d2tW5HyXkUmAjOi2KRgPbCrz0odvtyh-eOQ5EaYJzF3PyCB9vwseQ3TUtwy_ZRim1Nr2UsSvftuBFE0N8-vwwVReSEE_EBLo1_znJrVgdGUVC1uG3UWIW4N02mAHMY/s320/SAM_9333.JPG" title="Aveda Pure Abundance shampoo" width="240" /></a></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">I'm an absolute sucker for any hair products claiming to make my hair look more voluminous. I tend to be fairly low maintenance with my hair; shampoo, either a hair oil or leave in conditioner spray, dry shampoo and hairspray are the only products I really reach for. I find that mousses and cream products weigh my hair down too much so even if they claim to add volume, I end up with greasy flat hair. On that basis, volumising shampoos tend to be what I opt for most. I've tried a few across a range of high street brands which I've enjoyed but whilst perusing the Aveda counter in Debenhams I was drawn in by the Pure Abundance line and decided to give the shampoo a go.</span></div>
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjTKiZT_EmOJQ3HuKpjN-jEKVlovWui4PRmr8BuCGJCMw_UG3AnzCoPPQ9WcodOMSalNYSyAg5wOBhi7fCuMQBi9S7-z4gekLDw8daO78QINUd7xPlhgdgWz-zDC_-CiU9hyfcK0AJvyJc/s1600/SAM_9334.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjTKiZT_EmOJQ3HuKpjN-jEKVlovWui4PRmr8BuCGJCMw_UG3AnzCoPPQ9WcodOMSalNYSyAg5wOBhi7fCuMQBi9S7-z4gekLDw8daO78QINUd7xPlhgdgWz-zDC_-CiU9hyfcK0AJvyJc/s320/SAM_9334.JPG" width="320" /></span></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">The packaging is plain and functional although I did have to store it upside down to get the remaining product out when it was running low. The product itself is a honey coloured gel with a normal 'shampoo' texture - it's not too runny or exceptionally thick. The scent is quite herbal and overpowering; I didn't pick up the jasmine in the scent (I love jasmine!)</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">Aveda state that the shampoo:</span></div>

<span style="background-color: white;"><span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><i><span style="color: #333333; text-align: start;">Lifts fine hair up and fills it out. Hair looks fuller, feels thicker, stays more abundant. </span><br style="color: #333333; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; text-align: start;" /></i></span></span></div>
<table border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" style="color: #333333; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; width: 100%px;"><tbody style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">

</tbody></table>
<br />
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">I used the shampoo as normal and spritzed a little leave in conditioner on the ends of my hair. When it was 80% dry, I blow dried it. I did find that my hair felt lighter and had a nice amount of volume once I'd dried it and my hair did feel cleaner for a little longer when I used this shampoo. However, I have quite a sensitive scalp and this shampoo would sometimes be a little irritating so I couldn't use it on a daily basis. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">The bottom line is that I liked the product, I just didn't love it. It did give my hair a bit of extra volume without that product build up feeling so if you've not got a sensitive scalp and you fancy trying a higher end volumisng shampoo, I'd say that this is worth a try. I won't be repurchasing it as I've found the volumising shampoos from Herbal Essences and Aussie are fairly similar in terms of performance, are a fraction of the price and they smell nicer.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">A 250ml bottle of Pure Abundance shampoo retails for £17.00 from Aveda stockists and <a href="http://www.aveda.co.uk/product/5311/16934/Hair-Care/Shampoo/Pure-Abundance-Volumizing-Shampoo/index.tmpl" target="_blank">online</a>.</span><br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">I first heard about these super sized <a href="http://www.boots.com/en/Boots-extra-large-cotton-wool-pads-approx-60-_982555/" target="_blank">cotton pads from Boots</a> in a Zoella video, I believe. At the time I was using a cream cleanser, separate eye make up remover and toner so I was going through 6-8 regular cotton pads every time I removed my make up. At £2.59 for 60 these may seem a bit pricey for cotton pads but I think they're well worth it.</span></div>
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiIEMi4nN4GpCbd6W8Jz9VsTvXB2J4N0OEP2phTHlefwSIVTa4AEitAsH-L9vf12zZYsC3Y_ia62cFdvZ9WgmDY6RKoMoVVvHlEISZTnp9hqz0Ae5ydh_KsMfTrWMrSueJkDuqkMhUzdaA/s1600/SAM_9160.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiIEMi4nN4GpCbd6W8Jz9VsTvXB2J4N0OEP2phTHlefwSIVTa4AEitAsH-L9vf12zZYsC3Y_ia62cFdvZ9WgmDY6RKoMoVVvHlEISZTnp9hqz0Ae5ydh_KsMfTrWMrSueJkDuqkMhUzdaA/s320/SAM_9160.JPG" width="320" /></span></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif; font-size: x-small;"><i>(a bit of a weird size comparison shot!)</i></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">If you've ever been a fan of those dreaded drying face wipes (we've all been there...I still keep some on hand for emergencies!) because they're so quick and easy to use, these cotton pads, a good quality cleanser and toner make an excellent alternative. I typically massage my cleanser into my skin to lift the make up and remove with one of the pads. The process is much quicker as I only need one pad unless I need to double cleanse to remove lots of make up.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">I also use them to remove polish - one pad will do nails and toes.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">You'll find these in the baby section rather than in the beauty section and they're currently in a buy one, get one half price offer. I've only got a few pads left so am planning on stocking up this weekend!</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">Ps - I'll be posting a wee blog sale at some point over the weekend because I'm moving flat again and am having a bit of a clear out so keep your eyes peeled for that!</span></div>

<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">Hello!</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">I've finally done a little bit of beauty shopping! This haul is probably going to seem tiny compared to the monthly hauls I used to post but I'm sort of pleased about that. I generally try to be cleverer about the purchases I'm making now so will usually only buy one or two products over a period of a few weeks. This week I allowed myself to go a tiny bit crazy at the Philosophy counter and in Boots. I say 'crazy' because I don't actually need any of these things but that's not to say I won't enjoy trying them out; there could be some new favourites in here!</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiwt99ve4R8ruOR2vHWeoECB4FuybIwmxXZ_UrAlb1BcvqYpk3Qz1mLsJgzhChLWws2kDgLAAenx9l7EcMWsUkTCEUv1erfjCZJOtSnjYpzFek-F6lyPqHAs_GjQVpevllZPUv8CGL9xH0/s1600/SAM_9367.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiwt99ve4R8ruOR2vHWeoECB4FuybIwmxXZ_UrAlb1BcvqYpk3Qz1mLsJgzhChLWws2kDgLAAenx9l7EcMWsUkTCEUv1erfjCZJOtSnjYpzFek-F6lyPqHAs_GjQVpevllZPUv8CGL9xH0/s400/SAM_9367.JPG" width="400" /></span></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><i>Philosophy</i> as a brand is still fairly new to me. I've tried a lot of samples (and received even more after making this purchase - check out the cute little 'mini miracles' bag they came in!) and generally liked everything so I've been keen to pick up more of their line for a while. The <a href="http://www.debenhams.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/prod_10701_10001_123542002299_-1" target="_blank">3-in-1 shampoo, shower gel and bubble bath</a> is one of the brand's staple offerings; I went for the delicious citrus scented <i>Señorita Margarita</i>. At £14 it's pretty pricey for a basic shower gel but I've been trying this out and a little definitely goes a long way. I tried it in my hair too and liked it as a shampoo but my hair is ridiculously low maintenance so I wouldn't recommend this as a shampoo for all hair types. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">The second product I picked up is their primer: <i><a href="http://www.debenhams.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/prod_10701_10001_123542005999_-1" target="_blank">The Present</a></i>. I've heard mixed reviews on this one and haven't tried it out myself yet but plan to this week so expect to see a review soon if I have especially strong feelings either way. This was £22 but you do get 60ml of product which is around twice the size of most standard primers from other brands. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif; margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi4U-rNbtfj45Krnplvw_V2PsLF0UVRC6qobM73emjxfGsvhgqyJ6o_-X1XVd2odGt_UZ4RsQ1rOThyUt2eSssmmzaFNV3-V0_V-zXJAoRjgH7UoCRbBB3XX9CgSRUGx0cnwkPrlcY5798/s1600/SAM_9369.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi4U-rNbtfj45Krnplvw_V2PsLF0UVRC6qobM73emjxfGsvhgqyJ6o_-X1XVd2odGt_UZ4RsQ1rOThyUt2eSssmmzaFNV3-V0_V-zXJAoRjgH7UoCRbBB3XX9CgSRUGx0cnwkPrlcY5798/s400/SAM_9369.JPG" width="400" /></a></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">Then I had one of those trips 'I-want-everything' trips to Boots but I somehow managed to compose myself and not spend <i>too </i>much. Looking at it now it does seem like a random selection of products! </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">I made a couple of repurchases from <i>Rimmel</i>; the <a href="http://acestacebeauty.blogspot.co.uk/2012/04/rimmel-wake-me-up-concealer.html" target="_blank"><i>Wake Me Up </i>concealer</a> has been a favourite of mine for a long time and another lipstick from <i>Kate Moss's Lasting Finish </i>range. I got the shade 05 which is a warm, slightly bright pink because I've misplaced my beloved shade 19 and I'm hoping to find it again soon! I got a free <i>Scandal Eyes</i> mascara in black which I'm not sure I'll be a fan of as the brush looks absolutely huge.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">The next three products which swiftly made it into my basket are all things I was really excited to see because until now I've not spotted them in British drugstores. The <i>Maybelline Mega Plush </i>mascara<b> </b>came out in the States forever ago and I've been dying to try it. This is another product which appears to split the opinion of beauty addicts so I'm interested to see which camp I end up in. I imagine there'll be a review of this up fairly soon. Next up is a <i>Sally Hansen Salon Manicure </i>polish in the infamous shade: <i>Commander in Chic</i>. It's one of those griege-nudes that's been doing the rounds for the past two or three years but I'm still looking forward to trying it out. I also came across a <i>Sinful Colors</i> display with a wide array of shades which are a snip at £1.99. I've been hankering after green nail polishes recently so this one in <i>Exotic Green</i> is a good way to try it out on the cheap.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">Finally, I need new skincare. My current skincare system is driving me crazy; largely because it's not really a system. I'm starting my mini-revolution with this <i>Vichy Normaderm </i>moisturiser because it claims to target the issues I've been having with my skin. I also need a new cleanser, toner, serum, exfoliator and mask...suggestions on a postcard (or in the comments, probably quicker), please!</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">Have you been buying anything lately? If you've posted a haul, leave me a link!</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>

<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">Say hello to one of my new favourite brushes! This is the Angled Blush Brush from E.L.F.'s Studio range and I've been using it for about three months now. Its name would suggest that I've been using it for blush but the densely packed bristles and thinner shape mean it's a rubbish blush brush. However, it's excellent for foundation. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhzCQGQBfWwCk5w0SjvbHe96tjyzrbSBECL8NDUJlBG-FVQ4wgAxeCPIKuAYickF_EzKD4Fet17Kd1Isq69L5Ta4Vr-m4tMKvTwew1wLcM01pbSJ-Pqg6zyHOaubWonqS3BYSMSFTg_aS0/s1600/SAM_9292.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhzCQGQBfWwCk5w0SjvbHe96tjyzrbSBECL8NDUJlBG-FVQ4wgAxeCPIKuAYickF_EzKD4Fet17Kd1Isq69L5Ta4Vr-m4tMKvTwew1wLcM01pbSJ-Pqg6zyHOaubWonqS3BYSMSFTg_aS0/s320/SAM_9292.JPG" width="240" /></span></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">As with all E.L.F. Studio brushes this one has a matte black handle and a black metal ferule with black bristles. Pretty sleek looking for £3.75, I reckon. I was expecting something similar to my beloved MAC 168 in terms of shape and density so was a tiny bit disappointed when I first got my hand on this. It languished in my brush collection for about a month until I realised that it might be great for foundation. </span></div>
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEioFwgpz5-Z8DmY7rYSNVfx5EJvhWbITq6SGLX6yZYwI2QjJOl5KX-4EcWDitOPEHebrpBkf-6hX7OfMDUKYR32Gl4JMeowjti1ijLvHjHgGw6fJz68JEWZcwBRkvZRO2XzAFENMHZHRVc/s1600/SAM_9293.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEioFwgpz5-Z8DmY7rYSNVfx5EJvhWbITq6SGLX6yZYwI2QjJOl5KX-4EcWDitOPEHebrpBkf-6hX7OfMDUKYR32Gl4JMeowjti1ijLvHjHgGw6fJz68JEWZcwBRkvZRO2XzAFENMHZHRVc/s320/SAM_9293.JPG" width="320" /></span></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">It turns out that I was right; it's totally a foundation brush. It's similar to one of those traditional foundation brushes which make me feel like I'm painting my face but it's a bit fatter and the angle makes it great for getting into areas under the eyes and around the nose. I use it to blend concealer in under my eyes and on any other blemishes before dotting some foundation on my skin and blending it in. Right now I'll happily reach for this in place of my Real Techniques Buffing brush or Illamasqua Highlight brush which have both been long-time favourites of mine. </span></div>
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjtYxlMIufq3YC1WkQSuI3A3vVYeSRKAtPsdNRzbOzlo6hDlBaKU8BTsBwEpwMXRM6gVVnxe4Z2HiTU-rHXc3Wh-GPxy-XrvWlsdBXnCR5RWZpBYOmRiTovBg2-pBMNYjTK8d7zSW_wh7E/s1600/SAM_9294.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjtYxlMIufq3YC1WkQSuI3A3vVYeSRKAtPsdNRzbOzlo6hDlBaKU8BTsBwEpwMXRM6gVVnxe4Z2HiTU-rHXc3Wh-GPxy-XrvWlsdBXnCR5RWZpBYOmRiTovBg2-pBMNYjTK8d7zSW_wh7E/s320/SAM_9294.JPG" width="240" /></span></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">My only issue with this brush is the fact that after about two uses I could tell that the ferule was getting loose. It hasn't fallen apart yet but every time I use it I think it's going to! I don't mind so much because it was so inexpensive but the inconsistency in quality of E.L.F. products is very frustrating. Thankfully it doesn't shed! </span></div>

<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">I can always rely on LUSH for a pick-me-up when my skin is feeling a bit 'blah'. I meant to review this fresh face mask about two months ago but since I plan on picking up a new tub of the stuff this week, I thought it'd still be okay to rave about it today!</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg48AXSN6WI5ERZJYA6MFAZFMd2xbLEzrPdP993ko1UtNywK9-CZidihTVnHI6rS9mIv3I2mmB911zbPRdFdB7ozQMVIdBqQeNIBtpruyZGkimdhkE3VSFukbfT4RkkgKj_il6AhCOcE0k/s1600/SAM_9331.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg48AXSN6WI5ERZJYA6MFAZFMd2xbLEzrPdP993ko1UtNywK9-CZidihTVnHI6rS9mIv3I2mmB911zbPRdFdB7ozQMVIdBqQeNIBtpruyZGkimdhkE3VSFukbfT4RkkgKj_il6AhCOcE0k/s320/SAM_9331.JPG" width="320" /></span></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><b>Love Lettuce</b> is a face mask that I've avoided because I preferred less abrasive options such as <a href="http://acestacebeauty.blogspot.co.uk/2012/09/lush-bb-seaweed-fresh-face-mask.html" target="_blank"><b>BB Seaweed</b></a> and <b>Catastrophe Cosmetic</b>. I liked using my own microdermabrastion exfoliator and then a mask but this one changed my mind because the ground almond shells aren't too harsh. Love Lettuce left my skin feeling clean, smooth, refreshed and soothed all at once! No mean feat for one little pot of gritty green goo, really. It's got something to do with seaweed, honey, almond oil and lavender, apparently. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">This and BB Seaweed are the two best 'all rounder' masks that I'd recommend to almost anyone. If you've got very sensitive skin I'd tell you to opt for BB Seaweed instead, though. </span></div>
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">I get six or seven uses out of these pots so I tend to use them twice a week before they go past their best before date. Make sure you remember to keep these in your fridge to keep them fresh!</span></div>

<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">Hello!</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br />
</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">Once again, it's been a while! I've been pretty busy so sadly my wee blog has been neglected. In fact, so has a lot of my beauty regime and my skin is really starting to notice so I'm on a mission to get back on track. Any suggestions of great skincare ranges will be much appreciated! I'm thinking of giving Elemis a go if any of you have any thoughts on that brand.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br />
</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">Despite my low-key approach to skincare and make up, I've been maintaining some sort of effort with my nails (chipped nail polish will always drive me nuts!) I've been experimenting with lots of different drugstore brands and so far have found some absolute gems. First up is this <b>Collection Hot Looks polish in the shade Dusk</b>. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEizpEkgwsN5hcc5doU_deg-Kwc54oD3N5qOTTr5j40LbWK2GxbaluwUHQm2HPXs8OZowxqPBGe2bRSpCziU-ifOVg8XJ7XaQuzFMr-H3HFktfYDuhvNGW7cM1y6_VvJMiFlV5Heo0Dh-i4/s1600/SAM_9361.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEizpEkgwsN5hcc5doU_deg-Kwc54oD3N5qOTTr5j40LbWK2GxbaluwUHQm2HPXs8OZowxqPBGe2bRSpCziU-ifOVg8XJ7XaQuzFMr-H3HFktfYDuhvNGW7cM1y6_VvJMiFlV5Heo0Dh-i4/s320/SAM_9361.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">It's a very dark green with a crème</span><span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;"> finish; not especially fitting for the season really! I bought it because under the lights in Boots it looked like a bottle green but in any sort of normal lighting it's more like an evergreen shade. I was slightly disappointed about that but it's a nice dark shade nonetheless. It's a bit different from black, dark reds and dark purples. </span></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjjebtlge2YpouO9UMqF1he5Qi8ZVW4LUhgNgE9n0IJZKvLkZKBd_InWJIGJ4Fa-KUvtpoDvtN5t1exoLFWO0xs3v0p1cSiRKrwGSQae_zVHv6zrfYTOa3T91RBcbQ6GDkbvUexq0OdTZM/s1600/SAM_9363.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjjebtlge2YpouO9UMqF1he5Qi8ZVW4LUhgNgE9n0IJZKvLkZKBd_InWJIGJ4Fa-KUvtpoDvtN5t1exoLFWO0xs3v0p1cSiRKrwGSQae_zVHv6zrfYTOa3T91RBcbQ6GDkbvUexq0OdTZM/s320/SAM_9363.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">The application of this polish was fairly easy. The brush isn't the widest in the world and the straight edge makes it a bit trickier around the cuticle area. The small cap was also a tiny bit fiddly so I did have a bit of cleaning up to do afterwards with this one. I only needed two coats for an opaque finish; I could have almost got away with just one if I'd taken my time! In my opinion, that's pretty good for a dark shade like this. The finish is a tiny bit matte which I don't particularly like. Nothing a slick of <a href="http://acestacebeauty.blogspot.co.uk/2011/09/review-sally-hansen-insta-dri-top-coat.html" target="_blank">Sally Hansen Insta-Dri top coat </a>can't fix, though. </span></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiKjdEybgcCTSOo9lsY1AwFC5ghXnEz8nTz1x4RAdzaaOraW8Fy7s3KMPlajoq1S_0cTY6CEq0Znd8wB735z_rGTdmxFEAWj8gJX7KdaN15CLV1NeCaPlpBWuvO-JQkd7-jh419QFrmyLY/s1600/SAM_9364.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiKjdEybgcCTSOo9lsY1AwFC5ghXnEz8nTz1x4RAdzaaOraW8Fy7s3KMPlajoq1S_0cTY6CEq0Znd8wB735z_rGTdmxFEAWj8gJX7KdaN15CLV1NeCaPlpBWuvO-JQkd7-jh419QFrmyLY/s320/SAM_9364.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">One of the best things about this polish is the price. <a href="http://www.boots.com/en/Collection-Hot-Look-Nails_1279251/" target="_blank">It costs a mere £1.99</a>! If another shade catches my eye I'll definitely be picking it up. It contains 8ml which is slightly smaller than the average drugstore nail polish (and just over half the size of an OPI polish) but who ever uses an entire bottle of nail polish before it becomes too gloopy to use? </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">Recently I've been hankering after a bright pink blush and <b>NARS Desire</b> is right at the top of my list. I've never been disappointed by a NARS blush so I expect great things from this one. The <b>Tom Ford Black Orchid</b> fragrance has been on my wish list for some time; I'm determined to pick it up this month! It's not for everyone but I think it smells sexy as hell. Another fragrance-related product I need (okay, want) to purchase in February is a <b>Yankee</b> <b>candle in Clean Cotton</b>. I've been through several of these in the past; they make my entire flat smell fresh and lovely. Two 'staple' products on my list are the <b>Clinique Airbrush Concealer</b> and <b>Illamasqua Masquara</b>; I've not tried a new concealer or mascara for a while and after reading good reviews for both of these, they've made their way onto my shopping list.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">I had a wee rummage through my collection of lip products at the weekend and discovered a few hidden treasures! A couple of these products are fairly recent purchases which have yet to be used properly and the others are neglected old favourites. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiUF9b8_uiZ2eWKCKP789g6Zalq4-cwYntNA9QYyMXLZRPWIxftIbxBflScItihdP4E6QxrUt47XwHBfTmEv4T9EImJfvC9AqNUAkQiiEaR19HdnmFhnEYXINlK8tOo0JMfcyybRMrv_MU/s1600/SAM_9335.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiUF9b8_uiZ2eWKCKP789g6Zalq4-cwYntNA9QYyMXLZRPWIxftIbxBflScItihdP4E6QxrUt47XwHBfTmEv4T9EImJfvC9AqNUAkQiiEaR19HdnmFhnEYXINlK8tOo0JMfcyybRMrv_MU/s320/SAM_9335.JPG" width="320" /></span></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">The two new products in this post are the <b>Revlon ColorStay lip liner in Plum </b>and the <b>ELF Studio Matte Lip Color in Rich Red</b>. I bought these over a month ago but have yet to use either. The lip liner is quite dry, which puts me off using it, but the staying power when swatched was impressive so I'm expecting great things in that respect. The ELF matte lipstick is a super bright red with a slight blue undertone. It's quite in-your-face so not really something I'd wear every day.</span></div>
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgJCVIC4NnlpxwwZsYnAcH0nZUTbU1VRVdAUtH2x4G7TiOZGGaIt4M5WsRU9WWx0jhqG-XynlIqTOTP61DH7-sked229b61ai53JLVCJNvGs3bL2DV_HVQlRnFkdlmj0rLDCAFE4Mi9RtM/s1600/SAM_9336.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgJCVIC4NnlpxwwZsYnAcH0nZUTbU1VRVdAUtH2x4G7TiOZGGaIt4M5WsRU9WWx0jhqG-XynlIqTOTP61DH7-sked229b61ai53JLVCJNvGs3bL2DV_HVQlRnFkdlmj0rLDCAFE4Mi9RtM/s320/SAM_9336.JPG" width="320" /></span></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif; font-size: x-small;">L-R: Revlon in Plum, ELF in Rich Red, MAC in Red Dwarf, MAC in Delectable, Revlon Nude Lustre</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif; font-size: x-small;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br class="Apple-interchange-newline" />Two of my old favourites are limited edition <b>MAC</b> products; a <a href="http://acestacebeauty.blogspot.co.uk/2012/03/my-mac-lipstick-collection.html"><b>Pro Longwear lipstick in Red Dwarf </b>and a<b> Mattene in Delectable</b></a>. Red Dwarf is a beautiful pinky plum shade that I love to wear with loads of mascara and NARS Madly blush. I wore that combination today, actually! The texture of this lipstick is a bit odd and I don't think it's especially long lasting but I love the colour and it doesn't feel uncomfortable so I'm planning to wear this more regularly from now on. The Mattene is, as you'd expect, matte. However, unlike a lot of other matte lipsticks it doesn't feel or look heavy on the lips. This is particularly important to me because I find lighter shades like this peachy nude can look incredibly chalky if they have a matte finish. I've not been reaching for any shades like this recently but I remember loving it when I did wear it so I'm hoping to rekindle that! The last long-lost lip product is a <a href="http://acestacebeauty.blogspot.co.uk/2011/11/revlon-super-lustrous-lip-gloss-in-nude.html"><b>Revlon Super Lustrous gloss in Nude Lustre</b></a>. The tube is more than half used because I went through a phase of wearing this all the time; it looks nice over brighter lipsticks as it mutes them a bit but it's also great for warming up a nude shade.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">Have you shopped your stash recently?</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<b><i><span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">Stace xx</span></i></b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">PS - I also set aside some bits and pieces for a blog sale when I was having a clear out. <a href="http://acestacebeauty.blogspot.co.uk/p/blog-sale_21.html">Check it out!</a></span></div>

<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">Say hello to my new favourite blush! This is S.O.P.H.I.E. and it's a powder blush from Illamasqua. I used it for the first time about three weeks ago and have struggled to put it down since. The brightening effect it provides is helping me through this dull and dreary January.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEixAq0xmO4W926X91G89E_onSB_KAvV7RPPX0nNWpBJGZeUBKJred0KxWKS9dEC02adzz8eq1mu80t92O5tEm2QkaiAFJ7HI9YPZgaO3F3npWE1eGqpGNKw2Kb8Vegj_jEN-6CuL4tQ4b8/s1600/SAM_9298.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEixAq0xmO4W926X91G89E_onSB_KAvV7RPPX0nNWpBJGZeUBKJred0KxWKS9dEC02adzz8eq1mu80t92O5tEm2QkaiAFJ7HI9YPZgaO3F3npWE1eGqpGNKw2Kb8Vegj_jEN-6CuL4tQ4b8/s320/SAM_9298.JPG" width="240" /></span></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">I don't know if you can tell from the photos but this blush looks like an absolute glitter bomb in the pan; that's usually a huge no-no for me. However, you can see in the swatch that it's only slightly shimmery and on the cheeks I think it looks almost matte. Illamasqua describe it as a 'golden coral shimmer' which I suppose is fairly accurate. </span></div>
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgMSS_5vSQcD50Y4vpvs69lJ0Pl4N_ZeQ5UeVmI5feV4DydcONNphyZIKSfmGhy2c0k0TposhW2nyHqDfyKfKaOrA6WLtDT4tY9fe-05bwvR9717awNIE3jdIMFgXS4n99zboL904SjUR0/s1600/SAM_9299.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgMSS_5vSQcD50Y4vpvs69lJ0Pl4N_ZeQ5UeVmI5feV4DydcONNphyZIKSfmGhy2c0k0TposhW2nyHqDfyKfKaOrA6WLtDT4tY9fe-05bwvR9717awNIE3jdIMFgXS4n99zboL904SjUR0/s320/SAM_9299.JPG" width="240" /></span></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">Texture-wise S.O.P.H.I.E. is easy to apply and blend. I've been using a duo-fibre style brush to avoid applying too much colour, which works pretty well. I get a good 6-8 hours of wear out of this blush; that's longer than average for me!</span></div>
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEizRvGCvZ3e15iDF1MCAC2waqpvGbOpj_FXS9zDyB05EnjsmxyiVU5AXqrMlJc7ZRHj4lGMzjKpsT4LMxjS07pmiJ4W28QViHBqTCrXpcp0FpK-x6RAen8KwAceb0Gr2hOfDKxEUOqM7Xo/s1600/SAM_9300.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEizRvGCvZ3e15iDF1MCAC2waqpvGbOpj_FXS9zDyB05EnjsmxyiVU5AXqrMlJc7ZRHj4lGMzjKpsT4LMxjS07pmiJ4W28QViHBqTCrXpcp0FpK-x6RAen8KwAceb0Gr2hOfDKxEUOqM7Xo/s320/SAM_9300.JPG" width="240" /></span></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">All in all, this is a nice product from a lovely brand. I think the colour will work for most people too so it's definitely worth checking out the next time you're at a counter. It's also a bit of a feel-good purchase because the proceeds go to a charity. If you're not familiar with <a href="http://www.illamasqua.com/explore/sophie/">Illamasqua's involvement with the Sophie Lancaster Foundation</a>, go and read about it!</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">S.O.P.H.I.E. blush is priced at £18 <a href="http://www.illamasqua.com/shop/products/sophie/powder-blusher-in-s-o-p-h-i-e">online</a> and at counters.</span></div>

<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjJ6kJefRuv-ZqlZAfpYON6onftqo283WpBPnpIyWlGEvoTOWN2g0GKvky0YVR2lxOOyxu7G1DvmQpxBqk2zObKUCWtoQoyzkCsks7l2vVDI1CbrgqKzcKr05cQ5iMvcJA13Ykm5BLOBNk/s1600/SAM_9304.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjJ6kJefRuv-ZqlZAfpYON6onftqo283WpBPnpIyWlGEvoTOWN2g0GKvky0YVR2lxOOyxu7G1DvmQpxBqk2zObKUCWtoQoyzkCsks7l2vVDI1CbrgqKzcKr05cQ5iMvcJA13Ykm5BLOBNk/s320/SAM_9304.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">This Maybelline Forever Strong polish in Extreme Blackcurrant has very quickly become one of my favourite polishes. It's a deep blackcurrant colour which looks almost black in most lights. It reminds me of <a href="http://acestacebeauty.blogspot.co.uk/2012/02/notd-opi-lincoln-park-after-dark.html">OPI Lincoln Park After Dark</a> but I find that Extreme Blackcurrant is a bit more red toned. I love these shades; especially during the winter months. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhzWveEsXhr84gOoRkZHcYwH1pxSCgzUHdSbhZBbEK2jPdVxBnEouCKv0xFyHQDHA0MNmNA6i83a2k1ElQlSbe32ZxtEi-zSWGe6Ucbj_PyEb5eY0jmIma-SNsrPM_4z0nfud_rAYMCMls/s1600/SAM_9303.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhzWveEsXhr84gOoRkZHcYwH1pxSCgzUHdSbhZBbEK2jPdVxBnEouCKv0xFyHQDHA0MNmNA6i83a2k1ElQlSbe32ZxtEi-zSWGe6Ucbj_PyEb5eY0jmIma-SNsrPM_4z0nfud_rAYMCMls/s320/SAM_9303.JPG" width="320" /></span></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">The formula is easy to use but as with most dark shades, I needed three coats to achieve a completely opaque finish. The brushes on these polishes are wide and quite flat so they distribute the polish nice and evenly on the nail. The finish is quite shiny but I always apply a generous layer of Sally Hansen Insta-Dri top coat which adds more shine.</span></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhCIfta-lzEqu7mTcpayNaU81UEnT6jvvTVsFXTi8lK-uiQACUuz4kctKZJj1ehC6oQRwd6So_AS-S2yCMaljeHZfTcQOtV35_47Ze2YVMoh-5FZi-0x9BKBnYwqze8ZvDrzknafDwOFGQ/s1600/SAM_9302.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhCIfta-lzEqu7mTcpayNaU81UEnT6jvvTVsFXTi8lK-uiQACUuz4kctKZJj1ehC6oQRwd6So_AS-S2yCMaljeHZfTcQOtV35_47Ze2YVMoh-5FZi-0x9BKBnYwqze8ZvDrzknafDwOFGQ/s320/SAM_9302.JPG" width="240" /></span></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">The best thing about this polish for me is the fact that it almost lives up to the outrageous claim that you can get up to seven days' wear out of your manicure. In the photos I've had this polish on for FIVE days. The fact there's only minor tip wear is pretty much a miracle as far as I'm concerned. I usually manage to chip my manicures after a day or so. I've tried another polish from this range (Rosy Sand) and had similar results so I think Maybelline have done a good job and I'll probably need to pick up a few more shades...</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">Maybelline Forever Strong polishes are available from <a href="http://www.boots.com/en/Maybelline-Forever-Strong-Professional-Nail-Varnish_43089/">Boots</a> and other stockists priced at £4.09.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">Have you tried any polishes from this range? Thoughts?</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">I've not posted an empties post in a long time - mostly because it's taken me this long to gather up enough empties to post about. Do any of you remember the months where my empties posts would have squillions of products in them?! My beauty routine has definitely been simplified recently (read: I've been lazy) so it's taking me much longer to use anything up.</span></div>

<span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">I realise this was from last year's Christmas collection but I promise I only opened it in September! As with all Body Shop body butters it's nice and moisturising. I wasn't a huge fan of the scent though.</span></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">Does this product even require an explanation? It's one of my most used and repurchased beauty products by far. If you've not tried it, you should. I'm already well on my way to using up another tube.</span></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">I must admit, when I picked this up back in August, I wasn't expecting a great deal. I've been pleasantly surprised; this is an excellent every day foundation. I'll be posting a full review soon...and buying a new bottle!</span></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">This is the first of three mascaras I've used up recently and it's the only one I've rushed out to buy again. It's hands down my favourite mascara.</span></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">I enjoyed using this mascara and it's the only one that's come close to being as good as They're Real. It's much easier to remove though, despite being waterproof! </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">Whilst I do love a good bargain. most beauty related sales and offers fail to interest me. This is usually either because the discounts are fairly meagre or because the products offered wouldn't sell at full price in a million years. Puke-coloured nail polish, anyone? Thought not. </span></div>
<div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;"><br />
</span></div>
</div>
<div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">One brand which has impressed me with their current sale is Illasmasqua. They're offering decent range of products with up to 70% off. Okay, there are a few cement-toned lipsticks and lots of base products I'm not interested in, but my current basket includes:</span></div>
</div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;"><br />
</span></div>
<div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.illamasqua.com/shop/media/catalog/product/cache/1/image/9df78eab33525d08d6e5fb8d27136e95/L/i/Lips-intenselipgloss-succubus-main.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;"><img border="0" src="http://www.illamasqua.com/shop/media/catalog/product/cache/1/image/9df78eab33525d08d6e5fb8d27136e95/L/i/Lips-intenselipgloss-succubus-main.jpg" /></span></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;"><br />
</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.illamasqua.com/shop/products/sale/sale-5-00/intense-lipglosses/succubus-intense-lipgloss"><span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;"><b>Intense lipgloss in Succubus - £5</b></span></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">This intensely pigmented gloss essentially functions as a liquid lipstick. The shade Succubus looks like the perfect glossy blood red which would suit most skintones.
</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.illamasqua.com/shop/media/catalog/product/cache/1/image/9df78eab33525d08d6e5fb8d27136e95/E/y/Eyes-liquidmetal-surge-main.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;"><img border="0" src="http://www.illamasqua.com/shop/media/catalog/product/cache/1/image/9df78eab33525d08d6e5fb8d27136e95/E/y/Eyes-liquidmetal-surge-main.jpg" /></span></a></div>

<span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;"><br />
</span></div>

<span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;"><a href="http://www.illamasqua.com/shop/products/sale/sale-5-00/liquid-metals/surge-liquid-metal"><b>Liquid Metal in Surge - £5</b></a></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">I've never tried a Liquid Metal before but this shade reminds me a bit of BeneFit's Skinny Jeans which I loved but found to be a bit too green for me to reach for on an everyday basis. I think this might be a nice alternative shade. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;"><br />
</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">I've had my eye on this for a while; it's a dark aubergine purple shade which I think I'll love. I was always put off by the £17.50 price tag for such a tiny amount of product but at a fiver, it's a steal!

<span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">Most long-term readers of this blog will know that I have a real issue with shimmery nail polishes; I hate 99% of them. This beauty is an exception though; I need it!</span></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">Technically this isn't in my basket; I already own one of these brushes but I wanted to include it in this post because it's an excellent brush. It's a large blending brush so it's not great for precision eyeshadow looks but it's handy for blending in under eye concealer, powdering under the eyes and applying highlighter.</span></div>

BeneFit They're Real Mascara<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">I reviewed BeneFit's They're Real many moons ago when I tried it out for the first time but the photos are hideous and given that I'm about to purchase my fourth tube of this mascara, I figured it was worth revisiting.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"> They're Real received a huge amount of attention when it launched and that always makes me incredibly skeptical; surely it couldn't be as good as everyone was claiming, right? Any concerns I had regarding this product vanished after the first few times I used it and for the last year every other mascara I've tried has failed to live up to the standard set by They're Real. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><b><i>So why is it so good?</i></b></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">Have you ever tried a mascara and loved the brush only to find the formula was a bit rubbish or vice versa? I find that quite often; They're Real is one of the few exceptions for me. The brush has lots of plastic bristles which coat individual lashes with just the right amount of product. It also has a little spiked ball on the end of the wand which is great for reaching smaller lashes or adding extra product to the outer lashes. The formula is great; it doesn't run or smudge on me at all which is almost a miracle! It also holds a curl amazingly well.</span></div>
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<br />

<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif; font-size: x-small;"><i>Before</i></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">The main gripes people seem to have with They're Real is that it looks too full on or a bit clumpy and that it can be difficult to remove. To prevent spider-lashes I avoid applying more than two coats and when the mascara is brand new I might use a spoolie to </span><span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">eradicate</span><span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;"> any clumps. As for removing this mascara I find that Philosophy's Purity Made Simple cleanser works best.</span></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">This fragrance could not be more aptly named. It's definitely 'The One' for me and has been for about four years now. I don't post about perfumes a lot partly because I'm rubbish at describing them and partly because I don't try many new ones. This bottle was a gift from a lovely friend and is my fourth, but almost certainly not my last. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">You already know this is going to be a sappy post about a perfume, don't you? </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">Well, it all started after Christmas four years ago. I was flying back to Glasgow and picked up a bottle of The One at the airport because I kind of liked the scent. I don't typically buy expensive perfumes for myself; I tend to ask for them as Christmas/birthday gifts, so it was an impulse buy. An excellent impulse buy. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;"><span style="background-color: white; text-align: -webkit-auto;">According to D&G: '<i>The fragrance features top notes of mandarin and peach that leads into a heart of jasmine and ends with a base of vanilla, amber and musk. </i></span><span style="background-color: white; text-align: -webkit-auto;"><i>The One for Her is a warm, oriental floral with modern sensuality. It's a fragrance with a strong personality and a contrasting golden sweetness. Created for the ultimate diva, The One is at once tempting, modern and glamorous, embracing a touch of classicism.</i>'</span></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;"><span style="background-color: white; text-align: -webkit-auto;"><br /></span></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;"><span style="background-color: white; text-align: -webkit-auto;">To me it just smells <i>good</i>. I associate the scent with so many happy memories; it never fails to make me smile. </span></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;"><span style="background-color: white; text-align: -webkit-auto;"><br /></span></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;"><span style="background-color: white; text-align: -webkit-auto;">The One EDP retails for <a href="http://www.theperfumeshop.com/fcp/product/dolce-gabbana/dolce-gabbana/the%20one/1271">between £38 and £63</a>.</span></span></div>

<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">Whilst I love being able to wear cosy scarves and jumpers during the cold winter months, I don't appreciate it when the climate wreaks havoc with my skin. Right now my beauty routine is limited to say the least but there are five products I find myself reaching for regularly to combat dry skin, hands and chapped lips.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgWOYnXdkmzg_xSCnLmSXYPtjPDSt-__QLFhnmsbBj_15xaEHSIR_ff7nOGPO8ZUvtB-lvKCUGcLpn0JPko-8mcT1at40C4wKP-72pZ89bIKyisZtoI-i0Dj1bbw6qH4ew5Xvgiivx0Lwk/s1600/SAM_9240.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgWOYnXdkmzg_xSCnLmSXYPtjPDSt-__QLFhnmsbBj_15xaEHSIR_ff7nOGPO8ZUvtB-lvKCUGcLpn0JPko-8mcT1at40C4wKP-72pZ89bIKyisZtoI-i0Dj1bbw6qH4ew5Xvgiivx0Lwk/s400/SAM_9240.JPG" width="400" /></span></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.feelunique.com/p/Clarins-Hand-and-Nail-Treatment-Cream-100ml"><span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><b>Clarins Hand & Nails Treatment Cream</b></span></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">£19</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">This is my all-time favourite hand cream because it does exactly what it claims to; it moisturises my hands when the skin is feeling a bit dry and 'tight'. I love the light, slightly fruity scent and I appreciate the fact this sinks into the skin fairly quickly. I've only got a little bit left in this tube so I've been using it at night before bed. This is definitely going to be on my Christmas list. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.feelunique.com/p/Elizabeth-Arden-Eight-Hour-Cream-50ml?q=elizabeth%20arden%20eight%20hour%20cream"><span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><b>Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream Skin Protectant</b></span></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">£21.25</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">I posted about this wonder product recently; I'm convinced everyone needs to own a tube of this funny smelling orange balm. During the winter months I'll use it as an all over face mask before bed to keep my skin looking and feeling soft. It also works well as a lip balm or on any dry patches of skin. A little goes a very long way with this product so whilst £20+ might seem a bit steep initially, it's an investment!</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.thebodyshop.co.uk/bath-body-care/body-moisturisers.aspx"><span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><b>The Body Shop Body Butter</b></span></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">£13</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">The body butter in the photo is from last year's Christmas collection but any scent will do; there are loads to choose from. I'd recommend going for one of the dry skin formulas because I find I need to use less product for each application. I'd fallen out of love with my body butters during the summer months but now that the cold weather has set in, the love affair has been rekindled. You can usually find selected scents on sale - I've never paid full price for a tub.</span></div>
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgnn5HZSqZneNuobeILKjY_nfpmd1ff8_3R9N9RxmRN8iewz0tNPoPhXarV3eluhtvz_bp7NZv4ysrkhWPFtWgawYS3E9pJ43CCTCXpJdQVvyKBGgxudXnfTcbbW7oxVET8cgerB6qSLRM/s1600/SAM_9242.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgnn5HZSqZneNuobeILKjY_nfpmd1ff8_3R9N9RxmRN8iewz0tNPoPhXarV3eluhtvz_bp7NZv4ysrkhWPFtWgawYS3E9pJ43CCTCXpJdQVvyKBGgxudXnfTcbbW7oxVET8cgerB6qSLRM/s400/SAM_9242.JPG" width="300" /></span></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.feelunique.com/p/Clarins-Extra-Firming-Lip-Contour-Gentle-Exfoliator-20ml"><span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><b>Clarins Extra-Firming Lip & Contour Gentle Exfoliator</b></span></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">£19</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">This is one of those little products that deserves more attention, I think. It's expensive for a lip scrub but it's the best one I've tried because it's so gentle but still very effective. I work a small amount into my lips before wiping it off with a tissue. I do this a couple of times a week and that, in conjunction with the next product I'm going to talk about, keeps my lips smooth and prepped for whichever lip product I fancy wearing.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.feelunique.com/p/NUXE-Reve-de-Miel-Baume-Levres-Ultra-Nourrissant-Ultra-Nourishing-Lip-Balm-15g?q=nuxe%20reve%20de%20meil"><span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><b>NUXE Reve de Meil Lip Balm</b></span></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">£9.50</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">My first impressions of this lip balm weren't great but I've really warmed to it recently. The matte texture is a bit weird at first but I'm used to it now and I've yet to find a lip balm which stays on my lips as well as this. I put some on before going outside and it helps protect my lips from the cold weather. I also pop some on before bed. This has surprisingly become my lip balm of choice!</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">What are your winter skin essentials?</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

[Using my Naked palette]<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">Everytime I look through my eye make up I spot my Urban Decay Naked palette and quietly scold myself for not using it more. I'm determined to make good use of it over the next couple of weeks!</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">I'm mixing up the base products I'm using (with the exception of concealers) to incorporate my new bottle of <b>NARS Sheer Glow</b>. I don't normally use a setting powder with this foundation but if I need one I've included<b> LUSH's Emotional Brilliance </b>loose powder. If I want to use a primer I have a little <b>Murad primer</b> sample to use up. For concealer, I'm sticking with my trusty duo of<b> Collection Lasting Perfection</b> and <b>Rimmel Wake Me Up</b>. I've also thrown in a <b>BeneFit Sunbeam</b> highlighter sample which I used for the first time today; I like it!</span></div>
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">For blush I'm giving myself a bright shimmery coral option with <b>S.O.P.H.I.E. from Illamasqua </b>and a natural satin option in <b>NARS Madly</b>. Madly is definitely my most used blush and has been for about six months now whereas S.O.P.H.I.E. is brand new and crying out to be used for the first time. Both shades should work fairly well with the Naked palette's shadows. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">For eyes I have, of course, my <b>Naked palette; </b>I plan on wearing at least one eyeshadow every day! I'm going to use <b>NARS Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base </b>underneath the shadows and <b>LUSH's Eyes Right </b>mascara. I've added a couple of <b>Milani Liquf'Eye liners in black and brown </b>in case I fancy using one. For my brows I have <b>Smashbox Brow Tech</b> but I realised this morning that I've lost (for the second time!) the brush I love to use with this so I may have to switch it out and use my Lancome brow pencil instead.</span></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">For lips I have two neutral shades; <b>17's Mirror Shine lipstick in Beehive</b> and <b>Rimmel by Kate Moss in 19.</b> Beehive is lighter and glossier whereas 19 is a rosier shade with great staying power. If I want to wear a bolder colour it's going to be either <b>Rimmel by Kate Moss Matte in 107</b> which is a medium berry shade or a warm toned pink in the form of <b>Illamasqua's medium pencil in Titivate</b>.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">I've not posted a haul for quite a while but that doesn't mean I haven't been shopping. I've been totally out of the beauty blogging loop so I've not been overly inspired to buy lots of new make up; if you've tried anything new you think is worth checking out, let me know in the comments!</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhizVZWcCScqVhsWjFzGR4KTqSY-YhtiZhyphenhyphenF6r85gzK5Uthad9E4W__i5qgrbbDeM0BLL8PmJ0FW-bBD9ETyQPsByvjgvkHYnuZjmVrpI9b_SBuwMddq_ZFj1df2Hhyphenhyphen8kMc1AtkHfgIv44/s1600/SAM_9222.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhizVZWcCScqVhsWjFzGR4KTqSY-YhtiZhyphenhyphenF6r85gzK5Uthad9E4W__i5qgrbbDeM0BLL8PmJ0FW-bBD9ETyQPsByvjgvkHYnuZjmVrpI9b_SBuwMddq_ZFj1df2Hhyphenhyphen8kMc1AtkHfgIv44/s320/SAM_9222.JPG" width="320" /></span></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">Lip products were my thing this month; it seems. I picked up one of the recently repackaged <b>17 Mirror Shine lipsticks in Beehive</b>. I've owned this before and used it up completely because it's such an easy lipstick to wear. I like the look of the new black packaging compared with the old shiny blue tubes but it's a faff to use! It's rectangular and there's a little mirror which slides out; basically it's annoyingly difficult to close. </span></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgu_E0VInYnwD3uxKH2tE5lP78LSIbvJ_ctV1pdCUSba90mosKAZDvNJD6_Rvcuyl9oA4ceupH6UaW6a5jbeliqBc4fGjJvbOBkSlW8xWVphy0AL3jhBG86q_ooGl-cnn4-NZTFhFrB-Ps/s1600/SAM_9223.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgu_E0VInYnwD3uxKH2tE5lP78LSIbvJ_ctV1pdCUSba90mosKAZDvNJD6_Rvcuyl9oA4ceupH6UaW6a5jbeliqBc4fGjJvbOBkSlW8xWVphy0AL3jhBG86q_ooGl-cnn4-NZTFhFrB-Ps/s320/SAM_9223.JPG" width="320" /></span></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">I finally purchased a couple of <b>Rimmel's Kate Moss lipsticks </b>and I have to say I'm incredibly impressed. I have the <b>matte lipstick in 107 </b>and the original formula in <b>19</b>. I've worn 19 a lot already because it's a great every day colour. Both shades/formulas have great staying power and feel very comfortable on the lips. I may need to pick up a few more of these!</span></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgQOucb9sjYG5y7lD3Z_H5qtjDxn2tkvm_zdpLyDpjAxYbjzo7M0bcWmO5rN7WjWfWCrGSdmCBYzYWFigQ9jQXETILY9A3zCN0oU_cnhYsWAUNB9zEJ8S0k9wQAJqbpFbPoq_4xQR5GalE/s1600/SAM_9224.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgQOucb9sjYG5y7lD3Z_H5qtjDxn2tkvm_zdpLyDpjAxYbjzo7M0bcWmO5rN7WjWfWCrGSdmCBYzYWFigQ9jQXETILY9A3zCN0oU_cnhYsWAUNB9zEJ8S0k9wQAJqbpFbPoq_4xQR5GalE/s320/SAM_9224.JPG" width="320" /></span></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">The fourth lip product in my haul is the <b>YSL Glossy Stain in #22</b>. This was a bit of an impulse buy but I've been on the hunt for a dark, glossy lip colour for a wee while now and this seemed to fit the bill. I wore it today and it is a bit difficult to work with but it looks amazing. Finally I picked up a <b>medium pencil from Illamasqua in the shade Titivate</b> because the counter assistant was wearing it and it looked awesome on her! I've not worn this one yet so can't share my thoughts on it.</span></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhg-5jC_iKxOKzqXTbeGbYFdVQ4S-Ch0_cEknXcAxNtfbs6YEfCBxFHJmfExhOim649pxrjZ40itm3HO2tH8Zjc5XhuYsx5Ecpiikp9ju0D_tKwwQvzaBVTUU7e5aZBxM2qEdIrYbUwdHo/s1600/SAM_9225.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhg-5jC_iKxOKzqXTbeGbYFdVQ4S-Ch0_cEknXcAxNtfbs6YEfCBxFHJmfExhOim649pxrjZ40itm3HO2tH8Zjc5XhuYsx5Ecpiikp9ju0D_tKwwQvzaBVTUU7e5aZBxM2qEdIrYbUwdHo/s320/SAM_9225.JPG" width="240" /></span></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">I had a £10 off voucher for <a href="http://www.lookfantastic.com/home.dept">LookFantastic</a> so snapped up a bottle of <b>OPI Live and Let Die</b> from their Skyfall collection. It's a gorgeous dark green with gold shimmer running through it. I was really impressed with the formula of this polish too; it was almost a one-coat wonder! Earlier in the month I bought this metallic <b>Bourjois polish in the shade 20</b>. I love the brushes on these polishes but I'm not totally sold on this shade in particular; it's almost like a metallic version of a nude. </span></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj5SqhI6B6aognN3pbiGMKc_aneWtxLZM6S_-taURI1uw6UrmHG1f5RAQnQ-8ShK-bOn9Y1iNXR4J0Amh4TYDMfagDuVVjS84yI1_APVIGQM6wHzqF_B8FUsRrKV9OL3qWL-wIykSkypCA/s1600/SAM_9226.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj5SqhI6B6aognN3pbiGMKc_aneWtxLZM6S_-taURI1uw6UrmHG1f5RAQnQ-8ShK-bOn9Y1iNXR4J0Amh4TYDMfagDuVVjS84yI1_APVIGQM6wHzqF_B8FUsRrKV9OL3qWL-wIykSkypCA/s320/SAM_9226.JPG" width="320" /></span></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">I replaced a couple of my favourite base products this month; <b>Collection's Lasting Perfection concealer in Medium 3 </b>and<b> NARS Sheer Glow foundation in Punjab</b>. I use the concealer almost every time I wear make up and the foundation is my favourite for winter because it offers a bit more coverage. I've not had a bottle of Sheer Glow since spring time so I'm excited to use this again. I picked up the <b>Illamasqua blush in S.O.P.H.I.E</b> because I've had it on my wish list for a while. It's a bright slightly shimmery coral. I've been good and not bought a blush in a long time so I thought it was about time I tried something new. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">What did you buy this month? If you've posted a haul, leave me a link!</span></div>

Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhxKVk2sifsh7Goq7zzzIOSGyu_1dc9MVlskA1voTcShoqK1H5N3hhFDTfoZ4YhIW4Zc7R2xLimLAzTQUSzr1cBqmTEl2m4BWOrSqaQ3MJJ-hbbBIqul7PNRNp6BN2f-NvTBdzUBPT6byo/s1600/SAM_9182.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhxKVk2sifsh7Goq7zzzIOSGyu_1dc9MVlskA1voTcShoqK1H5N3hhFDTfoZ4YhIW4Zc7R2xLimLAzTQUSzr1cBqmTEl2m4BWOrSqaQ3MJJ-hbbBIqul7PNRNp6BN2f-NvTBdzUBPT6byo/s400/SAM_9182.JPG" width="300" /></span></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">Elizabeth Arden's Eight Hour Cream is one of those cult beauty products that everyone seems to have. I held off on trying it for a long time because it sounded like over-priced vaseline but after receiving a small tube of it in a gift set, I was hooked. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">Okay, so a 'skin protectant' is never going to be the most glamorous product considering the price but I'm willing to pay £25 for a tube of it because it works wonders on chapped lips, burns, acne, dry skin, irritated skin and a whole host of other minor skin problems. The only other downside to Eight Hour Cream is the smell; it can be a bit overpowering and unpleasant. I'm notorious for avoiding products with a scent I don't like (sickeningly sweet lip balms: bleurgh!) but I managed to handle this orange balm because the benefits outweighed the initial suffering. I'm so used to the scent now that it doesn't bother me at all.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">I use my Eight Hour Cream most often as a lip balm but I've also used it recently all over my face before bed after a bad skin day and around my nose when I had a cold. It's become a staple of mine and I've yet to come across a similar cheaper product which works as well. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;"><i>Do I think Elizabeth Arden's Eight Hour Cream is worth the hype?</i></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;"><i>You bet I do!</i></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">You can pick up a tube <a href="http://www.debenhams.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/prod_10001_10001_123041909699_-1?breadcrumb=Home~Beauty">online</a> or at Elizabeth Arden stockists. </span></div>
