Models Own - Fuzzy Peach

(Rimmel Base Coat, Two Coats of Fuzzy Peach, Sally Hansen Mega Shine Top Coat)

This stuff smells awful. It's also a lot brighter in real life than in the photo. I've used it before on my toes so I guess I didn't notice how neon it was then! It wasn't the easiest polish to apply either and dried down to a weird semi-matte finish. A shiny top coat is definitely required with this polish! This is the only Models Own polish I have. I want to try a few other shades - hopefully in their sale if they have it after my month of no make up buying ends!

Do you like Models Own polishes? Any recommendations?

My Top Five: Body Washes

These are in no particular order: I switch them up pretty often and sometimes try new shower gels. I've repurchased all of these. I don't really spend a lot of money on body wash because I think the cheaper ones are just as good. If I'm going to splurge, I'd buy some pricey bath oil instead!

Boots Extracts Brazil Nut Body Wash 

£4.19 for 200ml from Boots 

I love the smell of this. I think it smells more like caramel than brazil nuts but either way it makes me want to eat it! This makes my bathroom smell delicious and my skin always feels nice and clean but soft after using it. Its is more of a gel than a cream but still lathers really well and is moisturising enough for me right not but I'd want something creamier in the winter. These are usually available in a 3 for 2 offer or something similar. 

No7 Blissful Body Wash

£9.00 for 200ml from Boots

I always buy one of these when I have a £5 off No7 voucher so they only cost £4.00 when I buy them. I'm not sure if I would pay £9.00 unless I was feeling really flush. This is lovely and creamy. It is very moisturising and has a nice light scent which shouldn't be too offensive to anyone. There's not much more I can say about this one. I've went through quite a few of these! This is currently part of a 3 for 2 offer in Boots.

The Body Shop - Coconut Shower Cream

£4.00 for 250ml or £5.50 for 400ml from The Body Shop

This smells lovely and I like using it alongside the Coconut Body Butter. It's not as moisturising as the No7 and it doesn't smell as good as the Boots Extracts Brazil Nut but it is a nice balance of the two. 

N-Spa Raspberry Milkshake Shower and Bath Gel

£3.00 for 500ml from Asda

This smells divine. It is definitely better as a shower gel than a bubble bath (I like a lot of bubbles!). It's great value for money too! I've recently purchased the Coconut Ice Cream version of this so I'll have to wait and see if it becomes a new favourite!

M&S Essential Extracts Cocoa Butter & Vanilla Shower Gel

£1 for 250ml

I love M&S shower gels! I've tried several of them and this is my favourite scent. You can't beat this on price really! I would say that it's not really moisturising at all but skin feels clean and lightly scented after showering.

Beauty Buying Ban - Day 7 - Weekly Wishing: MAC Brushes

Documenting this no-buy business is working pretty well for me! I think I'd feel really bad if I had to type 'I've failed' so this blog is providing some nice motivation! I've decided that *if* I manage to make it to the end of the month without spending a penny on beauty products (unless they're essentials which are necessary for good personal hygiene - i.e. I will be purchasing deodorant when I run out!) I can treat myself to something. One thing.

I already have a wishlist on Makeupalley so it will probably be something from on there. I've already detailed my NARS wishlist in a previous post so one of those items could be a contender.

There are two MAC brushes which have been on my wish list for a very long time and they are the 109 and the 217.

MAC 109 - £26

MAC 217 - £16

I'm not sure which I want more. I don't do a lot with my eye shadow so want the 217 to help me be more adventurous with the shadows I do have. I like to use blush and highlighter pretty much every day so I feel I'd get more use out the the 109. 

The price difference could be a big deciding factor in the end!

Save or Splurge: Urban Decay 15th Anniversary Palette

Now, I know I can't buy this at the moment anyway but there's been a bit of hype surrounding this in the US and I've just noticed it on the Debenhams website. It's got me thinking about whether I want it or not.

I passed on the 15th Anniversary 24/7 liner set because I thought I wouldn't use a lot of the colours very often. The palette, however, has a lot more neutrals. Do I need any more neutrals?!


Here's what Urban Decay says:

I really like the look of Vanilla and Deeper as well as the green shade, Deep End. 


Is it worth £39, though? I agree that it is great value for money considering that buying the shadows individually would cost almost £200. I'm not sure I'd use enough of the shades to make it worth it for me. Especially considering that I already have the Naked palette and several other neutral palettes from Sleek, Wet'n'Wild and now, MUA.


I think this is one for die-hard Urban Decay fans and make up collectors. It might also be popular with girls who're just getting into make up as it would give them plenty of shades to play with. It would make a great gift!
