My Top Five: Autumnal Blushes

It's officially getting colder and wetter...boo! Although it does mean I've started digging out some new make up which is more appropriate for the season. Here are my top five autumnal blushes!

L-R: NARS Luster, NARS Taos

NARS Luster is one of my all time favourite blushes; I've had it for over a year and I've used it a lot (even though it may not look like it!). It's a great cheek colour if you're wearing a bold lip or eye look as it just gives you a nice sheen and a touch of colour. Taos is one which I've only used a few times, it's quite new and I've not reached for it too much because it looks like a more autumn/winter shade to me. This one is very pigmented so a light hand is essential! I'm looking foward to wearing this one with more neutral eye and lip looks.

Milani Baked Blush in Berry Amore

I am amazed by the quality of these blushes! I have three of them now and am planning on getting a few more. This shade is the darkest I own and I can't wait to wear it over the coming months. These are super-pigmented and have quite a bit of shimmer so this will probably be more of an evening blush for me.

L - R: MAC Notable, MAC Mineralize Blush in Pressed Amber

MAC Notable is a great staple blush - you can apply it sheerly for a little touch of colour or use it more heavily for to get a nice rosy-pink, almost plum shade. I didn't think this colour would work on my NC30 skin but it's got warm undertones so it does. This is a satin blush so it's perfect for daytime. Pressed Amber was a limited edition blush from the Semi Precious collection. It's a warm brown shade which some may use as a bronzer but I actually like it on my cheeks and think it will look even better as I get a little bit paler as it will add some colour to my face. This is also one I'm more likely to use during the day.

  1. They all look gorgeous!

My personal favorites for fall are MAC Plum Foolery blush and MAC Petticoat MSF. Time to dig them out of the stash and use them :-)
