Two Coats of OPI Lincoln Park After Dark and One Coat of Revlon Facets of Fuchsia
I used Essie Fill the Gap as a base coat and Sally Hansen Insta Dri as a top coat - surprise, surprise!
I'm sure you'll all know if you've read this blog for any length of time that I am not a fan of shimmery or glittery polishes. You might wonder, then, why I picked up Facets of Fuchsia. I was basically sucked in by the hype. Every one and their mother seems to have this polish so when I spotted it in Boots I picked it up. I brought it home and excitedly painted my nails with three coats with my usual fast drying top coat. I have to say, I was so disappointed. It was a smudgy mess and a nightmare to remove!
Before giving up on it completely I decided to try it over a dark base shade. And this worked so much better! I really like it - a lot more than I thought I would.
Maybe I'm a glitter convert now?
What do you think?
Stace xx
Oohhh I hope you are a glitter convert! I love glitters perfect for the upcoming party season. Love Facets of Fuscia have it on my toes layered over black - looks lovely on your nails and I think Facets of Fuscia mani will be on my nails very soon!!! x
ReplyDeletehello :) I'll go to any sally's depending on where I am but I bought the polishes I mentioned today from the one just across from central st :). Ah I love opi lincoln after dark and surprisingly facets of fuchsia too! x
ReplyDeleteZoe - I think I am a wee bit of a convert now! I'll have to try this as a pedicure :)xx
ReplyDeleteAdrienne - Thanks! I always go to the one on Dumbarton Road. I didn't realise there was one near central...this may call for a trip into town! I'm not surprised you like both - a lot of the time when I read your blog I already have the things you're talking about or they're on my wishlist :) xx
Looks great! I hate stubborn to remove nail polish or the ones that stain your nail beds!
