I'd wanted to try this for a while after trying the Hemp hand cream from The Body Shop. I couldn't deal with the scent of the Hemp hand cream but I liked how soft it made my hands so I thought this would have the same effect, but a nicer scent.
Product: Wild Rose Hand Cream SPF 15
Price: £5 for 30ml or £10 for 100ml from The Body Shop
Description:
"This daily hand cream with rosehip oil provides much needed moisture to mature skin while helping to reduce the appearance of brown spots."
What's Good About It?
It sinks in very quickly so it's great for on the go. I like the rose scent; it won't be for everyone but it's not overly offensive. The smaller sized tube is a great size to pop in your hand bag. I think this is reasonably priced, too.
What's Disappointing?
This isn't very moisturising so if my hands are feeling a bit dry, they feel a little tight after applying this. I didn't realise this was meant for mature skin. That seems strange to me as I'd have expected a hand cream for mature skin to be much more moisturising than this. The packaging is annoying too - it's very hard to get the right amount out of the tube because it's a metal/foil type tube
Overall Score & Comment: 5/10 - not the most moisturising hand cream out there so I probably won't be repurchasing this. If you're looking for a light hand cream this could be the one for you.
What's your favourite hand cream?
Stace xx
Thanks for your review Stacey! I have considered buying this but I think I'll stay with my tried and true for now. Which is plain old 'chamomile with a dash of olive oil' (or vice versa) hand cream.
ReplyDeleteBody butters are great as well. I like the ones with olive oil, shea butter or almond oil best.
Oooh - I've never tried making my own hand cream. I think the Balance Me one is the best I've tried. I think it's a good sign if you miss a product! I will probably have to purchase the full size of that!xx
ReplyDeleteI did consider buying this but not now thanks to your review! I love L'Occitane and Clarins hand cream x
