I bought this lipstick from a blog sale quite recently and finally got around to wearing it yesterday. I'm not a huge fan of matte lipsticks as I often find them uncomfortable to wear alone. This is one of the nicest matte lipsticks I've ever tried.
NARS describe Tashkent as a 'nude beige' and I'd say that's an okay description. It looks quite peach in the swatch but on the lips it is more nude.
These lipsticks cost £18.50 from NARS online or at a counter (link).
I applied a little lip balm under this and at first I thought it looked quite chalky when applied straight from the tube. After I worked it in a little with my finger it looked a lot more even.
Whilst this lipstick is not moisturising at all, I don't find it to be terribly drying. The formula feels quite light on my lips.
The best thing about this lipstick, however, is the epic staying power. I ate my lunch and dinner and it hardly moved. It did fade a little but that was it. I topped it up at around 4pm and there was still some there when I took my make up off at night. This is my far my longest wearing nude lipstick and I'm now pondering which shade to try next...the only downside is the price!
