Chanel Rouge Coco Shine in Evasion

I wanted this particular lipstick for such a long time but after picking it up a couple of months ago, I've hardly worn it until recently. After using it for the past three weeks or so, I have mixed feelings.

The major drawback with this product for me is the way it emphasizes dry patches and dries out my lips. If you look closely at the photo above you'll see that it is clinging to dry patches (and actually creates more dryness...) which is annoying.

It's not all bad, though. It's a Chanel lipstick so the packaging is beautiful and it smells like roses, which I love.

The colour is gorgeous, too. It's a 'peachy pink', which is hardly specific in the make up world but I wasn't able to find an exact match in my collection of similar shades.

The main reason I like this lipstick so much (aside from the irritating drying issue) is that it's just so easy to wear. It feels really light on the lips and goes with almost any make up look. I honestly can't see this shade looking bad on anyone. I don't regret buying it at all, I just have to remember to use a lip scrub and balm before applying it.

Have you tried any Rouge Coco Shines? What did you think?

Stace xx

  2. ah this is the one colour I eye up every time I pass the counter. One day I will just go for it and buy it. I know 'Boy' gets the most publicity but this is a little gem more people should know about :-)
