MAC Lipstick in Freckletone

I've owned Freckletone for quite a while now and whilst it might not be the most exciting shade, it's one of my favourites from MAC. I was wearing it in a recent FOTD (here) if you want to see what it looks like on the lips but it's essentially a nude shade.

I've tried a plethora of 'nude' lipsticks in the past and most of them have ended up languishing in my make up collection because they're too pale or they're too pink-toned, or both! Freckletone is a nude that I've reached for time and time again because it's just the right mixture of brown and peach. It's a really versatile shade for me; I'll happily wear it with smoky eyes, bright greens and more neutral shades.

I find that Lustre finishes from MAC seem to vary quite a bit in terms of pigmentation. I have a few which are pretty sheer and a bit drying and others which look and feel more like a Cremesheen. Freckletone is one of the more pigmented Lustres I have and I don't find it to be particularly drying on the lips. I like the glossy finish, even if I have to reapply my lipstick more often as a result. I'd say I get around three hours of wear without eating or drinking.

If you've been looking for the perfect nude lipstick and have a skin tone similar to mine (around NC30 in MAC terminology) I'd definitely recommend having a look at Freckletone.

You can purchase MAC lipsticks online (link), at counters and in stores for £14. Alternatively you could enter my giveaway and win one (here)!

    1. On the whole I prefer MAC lipsticks to those from higher end brands so I think they're worth the money compared to a £23 Chanel lipstick. I do like Revlon lipsticks too which are around £8ish.xx
